Thank you for your thoughts and prayers! We are glad to be settling in here in Ottawa. God is working out many details. More info in our letter... |
Please Pray:
That we will find our place in the ministry here and serve in the capacity that the Lord has for us. We have been able to serve in VBS, ordination council and service, and now the mid-week adult Bible study (Jeff). We have learned that both of our vehicles cannot be imported to Canada for mechanical reasons. Please pray about our vehicle situation as we “re-tread”. Please pray for opportunities for our family to witness as we meet people and continue in the outreach opportunities of CBC. Praises:
1. We are on our last deputation trip! We will be traveling for two weeks. 2. We have a home secured in Canada for our move. 3. A 27 year old young man prayed to receive Christ during weekly outreach! Prayer: 1. We have two full Sunday meetings left. Please pray that God will use us for His purposes in the meetings. 2. Please pray for traveling safety and strength. 3. For all of the details for moving to Canada on July 7th to come together. 4. For the remainder of our support to be committed - currently at 97%. Prayer Request for April/May
-For decisions that need to be made as we plan for our move to the field. -For God to open our minds and understanding to learn French. We are listening to French au-dio regularly. -For God to use us now in a mighty way for His glory while we finish deputation. -For the remainder of our monthly support to be committed—we have 9 deputation meetings left! Please Pray:
-For decisions that need to be made as we look forward to our transition to the field. -For God to open our minds and understanding to learn French. We are listening to French audio regularly. -For God to use us now in a mighty way for His glory even now while we travel on deputation. -For the remainder of our monthly support to be committed—currently at 93%. Praises
1. Two weeks ago, a calling partner and I spent about an hour with a man (who had terminal cancer and was in hospice). By the end of our time with him, the Holy Spirit gave us the opening to go through the plan of salvation with him. He read some of the words in verses himself and willingly prayed for forgiveness and salvation. When we went back to visit him again, he had passed away! Praise the Lord for His mercy! 2. We just finished a busy missions season. Since our last letter we were in 8 missions meetings and 7 missions conferences. Prayer Request 1. For God to open our minds and understanding to learn French. We are listening to French audio regularly. 2. For God to use us now in a mighty way for His glory even now while we travel on deputation. 3. For our support to flood in—currently at 70% Prayer Request
1. For traveling safety and strength during the busy, fall missions conference season. 2. For our support to continue to increase. 3. For God to give us clear direction in the timing of our next big step, French language school.
A few highlights of our May Letter:
1. We have been scheduled in Canada for weeks in a row. We are excited to see Canadian ministries, especially city ministries. 2. We are thankful for Spring Missions Conferences. 3. We have reached 58% of our recommended support level.
